The Nottingham office of insurance and risk management specialists Towergate has bought the Nottingham small business division of US broker Lockton from Cullum Capital Ventures.

Like Towergate, Lockton, specialise in small to middle market commercial insurance.

Currently located in Old Market Square, the five members of staff from Lockton will move to Towergate's offices in Tottle Road.

Joint managing directors of Towergate Nottingham, Neil Emerson and Sally Swann said they were delighted to welcome the new team members.

Mr Emerson said: "The Nottingham commercial team of Lockton will ensure the continuance of the high level service and advice their clients demand.

"This acquisition fits perfectly with our long-term growth strategy."

Beverley Lambert, associate director at Lockton, said: "This is an opportunity to provide our customers with a wider range of products and services."
