Talks about the loss of up to 700 jobs at JCB will continue today.
The digger giant's employees will return to work this morning after the firm's annual three-week shutdown. Hundreds of workers have already been told they are being made redundant. But others have been asked to report for a meeting with bosses.
Around 500 shop floor workers are to be laid off and between 150 and 200 office staff, out of a workforce of 5,900. The redundancies are being made across the firm's 11 UK factories in Uttoxeter, Rocester, Cheadle, Rugeley, Foston and Wrexham.
